I turn ideas & information into memorable visual stories
I’m a UK-based graphic recorder and live event illustrator, creating visual summaries of your events or notes in real time, either in the room or remotely.
My purpose is to help people digest and reflect on important learnings, and I do that by turning words into visuals that make our brains happy! Whether I’m illustrating live at your event (in person or remotely) or creating a visual summary of your notes, I’m here to bring a little magic and create something people want to share, keep and refer back to for years to come.
From panel talks and workshops, festivals, and everything in between, my ‘illustrated stories’ capture the key themes, moments that resonated most and the overall feel of the day. Or, for existing information, I transform complex topics into easy-to-digest visual summaries.
You’ll get something like this...
Always tailored to the primary purpose, whether that’s social media sharing, a roundup email or printed poster. You also get a time lapse animation of the visual coming together as standard, with the option to include looping animation for even more engagement.
A pair of visuals illustrated at St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation and Peace in Bishopsgate, East London. Project Dandelion hosted its own Global Ethical Stocktake - a muti-faith, intergenerational event inviting participants to imagine and strategise a roadmap to a green future. I was honoured to capture the insights and concepts through a day of workshops and talks, as well as the presentations to the COP30 Brazil team.
A visual summary of Uprawr's podcast episode featuring Lais MW, capturing her career path and highlights, plus a peek behind the scenes of life at a PR agency with world class clients. A special mention to Download Festival, and the way it gives people who don't feel like they belong in real life a sense of coming home. Especially beautiful words to illustrate, having visited Download twice myself and feeling such unexpected love and acceptance firsthand.
Mental Health Awareness organisation Heads Above the Waves offer advice on common and important struggles. I converted a few of their articles into visuals that could be shared on their Instagram, as well as printed and displayed in their Cardiff store.
What happens when you combine a charity golf day, a mix of activities, unpredictable weather - and live illustration? That’s the magic of graphic recording: the event itself shapes the story. From fun morning challenges to inspiring afternoon panel talks, I captured the energy in real time through live event sketching.
Created for AgilityEco's summer celebration in London, this illustrated roadmap was created in Vector software, so it's infinitely scalable. It will be used for the walls of their HQ, truly a lasting visual memory of the day!
Creatives for Climate at SXSW London's Nature and Climate House. Leaders from creative agencies and news outlets discussed what creatives can do that has the most impact for the environment, from dropping *that* client to restructuring business models.

Illustrated Summary from Purpose Disruptors' summit, Reimagining Advertising in London. Two talks explain how a country and an industry have been restructured to put people and planet first. My job was to give attendees a takeaway that would remind them of what they had learned and stay with them through a potential mindset shift.

Live recording from a day at Whitechapel Gallery, capturing the moments that resonated most within free flowing group discussions and workshops. The piece was produced for inclusion in a follow-up email to all attendees.
Meeting minutes, in visual, memorable form! A collective of boaters in London held workshops and talks to start community action and build relationships.

Why hire a Live Illustrator?
Capture the energy in the room.
Unlike static note-taking, live illustration reflects the tone, emotion, and flow of discussion, whether that’s thoughtful, playful or something entirely different!
I always read what participants resonate most with, and build my visuals to represent how it actually felt to be there.
Support mindset shifts.
When a conversation sparks a new way of thinking, having a visual anchor to refer back to helps reinforce that shift over time.
A graphic recording becomes a shared memory, encouraging conversations long after the session ends and helping groups align on takeaways.

Generate interest and improve engagement.
Knowing a Scribe is in the room can build excitement and demonstrates that the organisers value guests enjoying the experience.
Great for post-event reflection and sharing.
Whether in reports, presentations, or social media, graphic recordings of events are far more likely than written notes to be read, remembered, and shared.
Why visual summaries?
Makes complex ideas digestible & accessible.
Visuals break down layered information into clear, structured snapshots—making it easier for diverse audiences to engage with the content.
Graphic recordings communicate beyond words, making content more inclusive for visual learners, neurodiverse participants, and multilingual audiences.
Sparks emotional connection.
Visuals that centre people, emotions, and real-world impact make information feel more human. A graphic recording can turn abstract ideas into something relatable—helping your audience care as well as understand.
This is why I always focus on human characters and tell cohesive stories!
People remember visuals.
People may skim a stack of notes, but our eyes and brains delight in reading illustrated visuals!
Research shows that people remember information from visuals up to 6 times better than text alone.
Almost all of us learn better with help from images, not just people who identify as visual learners.
That’s why turning dense reports, articles, or even meeting notes into clear, engaging visuals isn’t just a nice extra - it’s a strategic move to help your message find a permanent home in readers’ brains!
